About

Creative Approaches for Deep Feelers

Raised with magic in the rainforest, I bring the tools of intuitive art to all of my creative projects. Whether I am teaching children new art techniques or older adults the soothing power of somatic art, I stay present, patient, and alert to each student’s unique learning needs.

As an artist and former bodyworker, I offer a depth of experience in somatic art techniques, energy work, breath exercises, meditation, and visualization. I strive to use these meditative techniques when I create my own art and love teaching new artists how to tap into their own intuitive art-making abilities. Co-creating safe community spaces for engaging and daring art experimentation is at my core.

I was raised by a new-age/witchy mother so building trust in my intuition and vivid dreams was a part of everyday conversation and reflection. Art from dream-groups I have led can be seen on Instagram: @DrawingFromDreams

I am an art therapy counseling resident at Shelterwood Collective and graduate student completing my last months at Antioch University. With a deep love for the forest I can be found backpacking all summer, dreaming all winter, spending ample time with my fluffy little dog, and, of course, making art.

Control the Moon

January 19, 2022

Water Temperature: 46.8F

Moon Cycle: Full/Cancer

High Tide: 1:36pm

I’ve been tripping out on the illusion of control lately…the hilarious expectation that we have any. Breath work gives us some control…as in when exposed to sudden cold water. But we don’t control whether or not we do breathe…only how. Like anything, it’s only the “how” that we have any say in at all.

Painting 101: a beginner’s piece

Tribute to Yoko Ono and Fluxus.

The assignment: create an art piece that is representative of the contributions Yoko Ono has made to the art world but incorporate your own style. I pulled the structure from Ono’s book Grapefruit and regressed into my slasher stylings of years ago while invoking my future art therapy education.
